About Me...
In 2007, I was standing on a roof in full Firefighting Bunker gear when a simple mistake almost caused me to fall through a roof. What saved me is also what drives me today! Better risk planning throughout the project planning process, critical thinking about risk, and when the unexpected occurs, collaboration has already predetermined how to handle even the most daunting challenges.
My career as a Project Manager includes working in Operations, R&D, EHS as well Learning and Development. I continued to work to improve my abilities as a Portfolio, Program and Project Manager by learning the latest skills required to deliver "On-time, Every time" by using Predictive, Agile and Hybrid delivery methods. Continuous improvement is key by using lessons learned and then sharing those experiences with others.
I have a proven track record of managing individuals, Subject Matter Experts, Vendors, and others while providing successful impactful programs includes onboarding personnel, coaching, mentoring, change management rolling out new technologies, and client management.
I am also a firm believer in using Lean Six Sigma with the DMAIC process along with the "5 Why's" method to address problem solving, incident investigations, and reduce waste. As a manager, I have had great success using the principles from Ken Blanchard, and his Situational Leadership II when working with my employees.
As a Learning and Development Manager, I have created large scale training programs aimed at Geophysicist, HSE, IT and Power Generation roles. These focus on building an individual from the foundation up until they have acquired mastery of a subject. I have implemented this by using a Blended Learning approach, including eLearning, Classroom Content, both in the class and virtual, On the Job Training, Microlearning, seminars, workshops, gamification, and through create libraries of reference materials for future use. I have experience both running a team of individuals, but also as an Instructional Designer creating content. Please take a look at my Portfolio page for examples of my recent work.
I am also an expert in Geophysics and Data Science. As a Geophysicist, I specialized in recording and analyzing vast amounts of digital data to map the Earth's subsurface. The results based on the technology used are comparable to medical CAT Scans (Tomography) or MRI (Full Waveform Inversion). These projects require working with both privately managed data centers and cloud-based platforms like AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless data storage, access, and processing. I have a whole section on what is a Geophysicist below, and based on how the role requirements, it requires multi-disciplinary understanding of a variety of technical, professional, business, and computer science skillsets.
I thrive when I am collaborating and enjoy the challenging tasks, which can provide opportunities to work with my teams to deliver positive results. When I show up to work, I bring not only experience, but I also have grown a network of experts, and vendors that can help to rapidly build and improve operations.
