As the Project Manager, I led the development of the ION Knowledgebase, a digital repository designed to capture key information related to ION’s workflows, including setups, project data retention, application-specific tips and tricks, and lessons learned from seismic surveys. The project objective was to create a structured and accessible knowledge-sharing platform to support operational efficiency and knowledge retention. Upon completion, the approved version was successfully delivered for staff use.

Utilizing the PMBOK framework, I managed the project across all five process groups. In Initiating, I defined the project scope, identified key stakeholders, and developed the project charter to align the knowledgebase objectives with organizational needs. The Planning phase involved developing a detailed project management plan, including scope definition, schedule creation, cost analysis, risk identification, and stakeholder engagement planning. I worked with subject matter experts to outline content structure and establish data organization principles.

During Executing, I coordinated efforts between IT developers, workflow specialists, and operational teams to design and populate the Atlassian Confluence-based knowledgebase. Content was systematically compiled to ensure seamless navigation and accessibility. Key workflows, project documentation, application insights, and seismic survey findings were integrated to facilitate efficient information retrieval.

The Monitoring and Controlling phase involved reviewing platform functionality, ensuring content accuracy, and validating usability. I implemented change control processes to refine data presentation based on feedback and monitored system performance metrics to optimize accessibility. Risk mitigation strategies were applied to enhance knowledgebase security and content management effectiveness.

In Closing, I finalized the approved version, conducted a formal project review, and facilitated implementation for staff use. Lessons learned were documented to support future digital knowledge-sharing initiatives.
By applying structured project management methodologies and adhering to PMBOK best practices, I successfully delivered a well-organized, user-friendly knowledgebase, enhancing institutional knowledge retention and operational continuity within ION.
